Meet Sarah

“Ready to understand the why behind your symptoms and finally fix them? Functional medicine is the answer!”

Let me introduce myself...

Hi! My name is Sarah. When I became a nurse practitioner, I saw countless patients frustrated by the inability of conventional medicine to actually fix their problems.

They didn’t feel heard or understood, they didn’t feel taken care of, and they left multiple doctor’s offices with no answers about where their symptoms are coming from, and no real solutions that would actually increase their quality of life in the long-run.

Not only did I hear this frustration from my patients, but I have also experienced it firsthand. I battled with my own health and digestive issues, finding little or no guidance from conventional medicine.

I wanted to practice medicine in a way that actually helped my patients, which led me to attend my first Institute of Functional Medicine conference in 2016. Around the same time, I also became a patient in a functional medicine practice, where I discovered the root cause of my symptoms. After making several key lifestyle changes, I was able to end my decade-long battle with digestive problems, and I finally found what I had been searching for in medicine—an approach that aims to uncover the cause of a patient’s symptoms or dysfunction before it turns into a disease. This whole-body, patient-centered approach to medicine is at the core of my practice today.

I will empower you to make sustainable lifestyle changes to optimize:

  • Your Diet
  • Your Sleep
  • How your body responds to stress
  • The way you move your body so you feel more energized

Having been a patient, and now seeing success as a functional medicine practitioner with my own patients, I understand how important it is for patients and providers to work through every possible medical scenario to find a plan of action that does more than get rid of symptoms— it solves the problem that is causing those symptoms.

Cheyanne

Meet Cheyanne, FNTP, RWP

Let me introduce myself...

Hello! I’m Cheyanne, a Functional Medicine Nutritionist & Health Coach. I work one-on-one with an array of clients to support their health on a foundational level.

I am passionate about helping young adults with chronic fatigue, auto-immune disorders, hormone dysfunction, digestive issues get to the root cause of their health problems so they can show up in life the way they want to!

I’ve been deemed the health nut gal since I could remember. I am an extreme hobbyist - from tennis, to pickle-ball, surfing, rock-climbing, hiking, you name it and my overflowing shed will testify to it.

I began my educational journey pursuing a graduate degree in speech-language pathology. I always thought of my love for nutrition and a healthy lifestyle as a hobby or “side-hustle" much like all my other hobbies. That all changed when my own health plummeted during my first year of graduate school. This sent me looking for more answers than conventional medicine was able to offer. I was tired of doctors who wouldn’t listen and sick of medications that just covered up my symptoms. I began thinking that there must be more I can do to help people heal than simply manage their conditions. It was during this education that I realized I was on the wrong side of medicine. I have seen our world's need for preventative integrative medicine that focuses on looking at the whole person and finding the root cause of health issues.

My desire is simple: to get YOU feeling better. No more symptom chasing, together we will get to the root cause!
